We have windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes!!!!! Definitely was not expecting this to happen today....so, very exciting!! We also got a call today from Meridith and she said that the plumbing and electric peoples will be out on Friday! Yaaay! Sorry the picture isn't that great. I spent the evening at Kyle's and couldn't wait until tomorrow to see it so I stopped by on my way home....and then my camera died. I did go in to look around and we have our sliding glass door installed too. Hopefully tomorrow I can get out there during the day to get a better picture. I love the windows tho! They are super cute. I am just a little disappointed tho because the back 3 living room windows aren't like the front windows. They are just plain. Oh well, not a big deal. I'm still happy!

More roof work...

Well, they skipped a day of work...not sure why. But the following day they added more tar paper and that's about it. This part seems to be taking awhile tho. Which, whatever. We originally wanted our house to be done by June 22nd so we could get the first time home buyers tax credit, but we went to H&R Block last week and it looks like we're getting it anyway. So, that is super exciting. We still want our house to be done asap, but no worries if it takes a little longer. I'm hoping to be able to post a good picture on Friday with maybe some shingles or windows or SOMETHING other than this house made of lumber. We'll just have to wait and see!

The roof has been started!

So the plywood boards and tar paperwas started. Which means, they will hopefully be putting up shingles tomorrow. Yay! My step-dad went over there today and talked to the construction workers about the house. He made up a story about how he had relatives looking for a house in this area and was wondering if they decided to build a house with them, about how long would it take from start to finish. They explained to him all that goes into it and kind of explained where they were on our house. They said that this house could very well be done by the end of this month. So that was exciting to hear. Maybe they will be done on time. I will be shocked if they are.

More framing!!!!!!!!

This was even more exciting! We got to see how the vaulted ceilings would look...we like! It seems like they're sooo close but there is still sooo much left to do. But, it only took them 3 days to do the floor and frame all of this....so that gives us hope. We'll just have to see I guess. The second picture is a view of the living room and dining room. You can see the pantry to the very left and the kitchen is in front. The pantry is the only thing that separates these 3 rooms. That window is facing the back of the house...pretty sweet view. And then the sliding glass doors in the dining room. You can kind of see the vaulted ceiling too! Kyle's mom and little sister came with us...that's who you see in the pictures...haha!
Can't wait to see what they do tomorrow!

Lots of framing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was very exciting to see this! We got to go in and walk around and see how it was gonna look...kind of. It was neat. This is the part I was looking forward to the most...besides it being done! But yes, they are moving very quickly on this house...hopefully it stays this way.

Floor is done and we have a wall!

We couldn't believe it! I drove by once in the morning to see if they were out and they were...finishing up the other side of the floor. I drove by again after my hair appt. which was about 5 hours later and the floor was done! Then Kyle came over and we drove over to take a pic and we had a wall!!!! That was very exciting to see! This is the wall where the master bedroom, hallway bathroom and another bedroom will be. That hole is where the stairs to the basement will be.
I can't wait to see what they get done tomorrow!!! At this rate, our house could very well be done by the end of the month!!

The beginning of framing!

The forms are off, the concrete is sealed, the backfill is in and they started the floor framing. Yay! They are really moving on this. They've been out there every single day since they first dug the hole. So, maybe it'll be done sooner than we think. We hope!!!!
